Out with MASCARA... In With LASHES!!!

Hey Ladies,

I use to be a MASCARA JUNKIE! Every commercial that extended natural lashes to its full potential led me right to Target to purchase whosever mascara. Then I realized, almost all of them didn't work. So I started buying designer mascara. The brands I purchased range from MAC to Christian Dior. They definitely worked differently than the brands sold in Target, but it still left my lashes clumpy since I had to apply 3-4 coats on my lashes. I was stuck and disappointed with the results, but had no other choice since to me, mascara is a make up necessity.

Then, I discovered individual lashes! This is what the models are wearing when they sold me on whatever brand mascara they modeled. This is why every celebrities lashes looked flawless! I found the real reason why I couldn't get that look.

Individual lashes are single artificial lashes that are applied to your real lashes. Each eye can typically have 200-300 individual lashes and 3-5 individual lashes on each real lash. This gives your lashes a longer or fuller look depending on what it is you are going for.

I usually get 2mm longer than my real length. Since I am still new to the lash life, the inside of my lashes are shorter to give my lashes a natural look. My lashes have the same curl pattern as my real lashes. But, if your lashes are long and straight, their are lashes to compliment your lash pattern as well.

These individual lashes take about 2 to 2.5 hours to apply for the first time. Your lashes will fall out! Every time your real lash grows out, the lashes attached to that lash will fall out with it. When most of your lashes fall out which is typically within a 4-6 week period, you will need a fill. A fill is to fill in all the spaces your false lashes have fallen out. The fill process takes out 45 min to 1.5 hours.

This can be a pretty pricey process. I have seen prices as low as $80 for a full set to $300. Fills are usually half the price of the full set.

I don't have a picture of a before and after, but I will update when I go for my fill later this month. For now, here is a picture I found for those who would like to see the difference:

In this picture, look at the difference of the length and volume. These lashes give you a flawless look if done correctly.

In order to keep this flawless look, here are some ground rules:
1. No water for the first 24 hours
2. Brush daily with a mascara spoolie
3. Keep these lashes clean! ( I usually use the suds from my face wash and give them a gentle rub and wash with clean water thoroughly.
4. No mascara

These are the ground rules to keeping your lashes looking flawless until your next fill!!

I will also update on any local affordable places I discover in the LA area!!

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me!!!

LOVE,

Nikki Flo
